ufree? ("we", "us", or "our") operates ufree.app. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. Use of ufree is also subject to our Terms of Service.
We collect your email when you create an account. We use it to:
We do not use your email for marketing and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
When you create or join a hang, we store what you enter:
Anyone with a hang's link can see its name, description, participant names, and availability, and link previews can show the name, description, and number of participants. Hangs are deleted automatically about 30 days after they're created.
If you report a hang, we store the reason you pick, any details you add, the hang's link, name, and description, the participant you point to (if any), and whether you reported as a visitor, participant, or creator. We don't store your IP address with the report; we keep a one-way hash only to stop duplicate reports. Reports are never shown to the people in the hang.
We use PostHog (US Cloud) to understand how people use our product. This includes:
PostHog stores data on servers in the United States.
With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel(Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who may be interested. When you accept cookies, the pixel loads on our homepage and similar pages and sends Meta your page view, and a registration event when you create a hang (only whether it's a single day or a trip, never its name or link), along with standard browser information such as your IP address and browser type, and may set a Meta cookie that identifies your browser.

If you use "Add to calendar", the hang's name, description, location, and date are sent to your calendar app (for example, Google Calendar) at your request; that is governed by the calendar provider's policy.
We use a cookie banner to obtain your consent before non-essential cookies are set.

You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time: (also linked in the footer of our homepage). Withdrawing stops analytics and advertising measurement and removes the Meta cookie.

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to opt out of analytics. Contact us at hello@ufree.app to exercise any of these rights. You can also delete your account and all your hangs yourself from the My hangs page.
PostHog and Meta process data in the United States under standard contractual clauses. Our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Supabase) may also process data in the United States.
Our service is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, show an in-app notice or email people who have given us an email address.
