Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ufree.app (the "Service"), operated by ufree?("ufree", "we", "us"). By creating, joining, or viewing a hang, or signing in, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use ufree.

You must be at least 13 years old (16 if you are in the EU or UK) to use ufree. We don't ask for your age or birthday; by using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we learn that someone under this age is using ufree, we may remove the related hangs.

• Anyone with the link can view and join. Hang links work like unlisted web addresses. Anyone who has the link can see the hang's name, the names or nicknames participants enter, and their availability, and can join it (hangs are capped at 10 people).
• Link previews are public. When a hang link is pasted into a chat app or social network, the preview can show the hang's name, its description ("vibe"), how many people have joined, and a summary calendar of overlapping dates.
• Share links only with people you trust, and don't put sensitive personal information (addresses, phone numbers, financial or health details) in hang names or participant names.
• The person who creates a hang is responsible for who they share it with and can remove participants or delete it.
• Hangs are temporary. Hang data is deleted automatically about 30 days after the hang is created. We don't keep backups you can restore from, so save anything you need (for example, by adding dates to your calendar).

You can use ufree without an account, in which case access to a hang is tied to the browser you used. If you provide an email address, we send you a sign-in link (no password) so you can get back to your hangs from any device. You're responsible for keeping your email account secure and for activity that happens through your sign-in links.

You can delete your account and all your hangs at any time from the My hangs page. This is permanent. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your email.

You agree not to use ufree to:

• Create or share content involving minors in any sexual or exploitative way
• Arrange, advertise, or solicit commercial sexual services
• Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone, or share someone's personal information without their permission
• Plan or promote violence or any illegal activity
• Post content that is pornographic, hateful, or that we reasonably consider obscene or objectionable
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are in a way that is meant to deceive or harm
• Send spam, scrape the Service, overload it, probe it for vulnerabilities, or get around rate limits or other protections. Using our official MCP server or tools you run yourself to create or manage your own hangs is fine.

We don't routinely review private hangs. We may review a hang when it's reported to us, when it appears publicly (for example, in a link preview), or when we need to keep the Service safe or comply with the law.

You own what you enter into ufree, such as hang names, participant names, and availability ("Your Content"). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and process Your Content only as needed to run and improve the Service, for example to show it to people who have the hang's link and to generate link previews. You're responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the right to share it.

We may remove any hang or content, or limit or block access to the Service, at any time if we believe it breaks these Terms, creates risk for other people or for ufree, or is required by law. Where appropriate, we may report illegal content, including content involving the exploitation of minors, to the relevant authorities.

To report a hang, use the "Report this hang" link on the hang's page, or email hello@ufree.app with the hang link and a short description. A removed hang shows a notice in place of its content; if you think yours was removed by mistake, email us.

ufree is a scheduling tool. We don't verify anyone's identity, age, or intentions, and we aren't part of any plans you make. You're solely responsible for your interactions with other people, online and in person. Use good judgment, especially when meeting someone for the first time.

ufree uses third-party services, such as hosting, database and sign-in email delivery, analytics, calendar export, and advertising measurement, as described in our Privacy Policy. We aren't responsible for third-party services, including calendar apps you export to, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that overlap results will be accurate, or that any data will be kept.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ufree and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, or for any harm arising from your interactions with other users or from plans made using the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (ufree is currently free).

You agree to defend and hold harmless ufree and its operator from any claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, show a notice in the app or email people who have given us an email address. Continuing to use ufree after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
